Bye 2018! You know what time it is! Yep, it’s time to go over the movies I’m anticipating the most for the new year. So, ONCE AGAIN, I decided to give you all the 20 movies (or technically 22 movies) that I’m looking forward to. Expect to see some movies that the universe is anticipating and maybe some that the universe probably wishes wouldn’t even get made. Also, I decided to, ONCE AGAIN, break down this list into two parts because I’m still trying to be like my boy Ryan Seacrest when he was about to announce who’s getting kicked off American Idol back in the day (and now again I guess) and give the tease factor. Or I’m just making one post into two but whatever. So, ONCE AGAIN, you’re getting the 10 now and then the other 10 later. After you take a look at the list, comment below with the movies you’re looking forward to for 2019.
Release Date: November 27, 2019
Release Date: March 1, 2019
Alright, now on to part one of the countdown…
20. Men in Black International
Release Date: June 14, 2019
I got to see how they fill the shoes of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones (and I guess Josh Brolin). On paper things are looking promising because they got some of my favorites in Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. The first trailer I saw, though, was a little underwhelming.
Release Date: April 5, 2019
This movie looks too goofy and its in the DC movie universe so they already have me setting my expectations low. But I must see if this will be a train wreck or become a hit like some of the other DC universe surprises.
18. Dark Phoenix
Release Date: June 7, 2019
Hmmm…this movie took the number 18 slot on this same list last year and no I didn’t do that on purpose. But anyways, this movie that has (clearly) been pushed back so much just needs to come out so we can all move on from it and hope that DISNEY gets the X-Men rights so then the MCU can hopefully bring the brand back to glory again.
Release Date: December 20, 2019
I just am very curious how this movie will be adapted to film. That’s it. Oh and the cast interests me too. Shout out to all my Taylor Swift fans out there and aren’t afraid to admit it!
Release Date: January 18, 2019
Man forget about everything else! All I want to know is, can M. Night Shyamalan continue his rise from the grave with three straight “not awful” movies?
Release Date: May 10, 2019
First I NEEDED to see a trailer. Saw the trailer. Now I NEED to see why this was made instead of a regular live action Pokemon movie with Ash and Brock and so on and so on.
Release Date: March 15, 2019
Can the mind of Jordan Peele blow us all away again?! You don’t have to tell me much about the movie. Just let me find out come March.
Release Date: February 22, 2019
The final chapter to a slept on franchise comes early 2019. And just like the first two entries, I expect to go in to this thinking I’m going to see a cool little animated flick and walk out thinking I just witnessed greatness…no LeBron. Sorry, I just had to let that bar out.
12. It: Chapter Two
Release Date: September 6, 2019
I almost bought a Pennywise costume for this past Halloween. Maybe if this movie is just as good or better than its predecessor, I might be a full dancing clown come October.
Release Date: August 2nd, 2019
Take two of the more ridiculous characters from the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, give them their own movie with an amazing action movie director like David Leitch and guess what you got?…..A very excited me!
