‘Paddington 2’ Bullet Point Review

Using bullet points, I’m going to give you my thoughts on the 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, family film masterpiece?…‘Paddington 2’!

  • Paddington (Ben Whishaw) was sent to prison in the movie and what he was charged with was rather excessive
  • Funniest scene is the first time Paddington meets the prison chef, Knuckles (Brendan Gleeson), in the cafeteria
  • The ending made a brotha all emotional
    • My guy Paddington went through a lot to get a pop-up book for his aunt. He even did a quick bid thanks to his quest and he still couldn’t get it for her. BUT he was able to see her in person for the first time since the beginning of ‘Paddington’ when his family and friends flew her out.
    • It pulled at the ol’ heart strings. Touching
    • If a movie can make my heartless self feel something at the end like this did then you know it’s a special movie
  • Was great fun for all ages
    • A lot of movies set out to make a movie that can be enjoyed by all age groups but few succeed because that is very hard to do
      • Especially when it comes to light comedies
    • Thank the talented cast, director and script for killing this tough task
  • Better than its predecessor, which was also a nice surprise
  • To Sum it Up: This series keeps surprising me and would definitely welcome another one
