‘I See Movie’ of the Week Winner: ‘Aloha’ vs. ‘San Andreas’

In the third match-up for the ‘I See Movie’ of the Week poll, we saw ‘Aloha’ go up against ‘San Andreas’. The results are in! So which movie did you all choose as the go-to viewing for the week? Find out which one is the winner below, as well as my personal pick.

‘I See Movie’ Pick: ‘Aloha’

‘Aloha’ gets the victory here for me for one big reason: Emma Stone. Simple as that. Yes the movie looks good and it has a good cast that includes my boy Bradley Cooper and Rachel McAdams. But it really comes down to this movie having Ms. Stone in it and the other movie not having her in it.

Readers Pick: ‘Aloha’ (67% of the votes)

I’m kind of surprised that the readers and I are on the same page this week. ‘San Andreas’ looks like it caters to a wider audience than ‘Aloha’ but what do I know. But the readers spoke and that’s fine with me. So I’ll add a ‘Aloha’ review to the list of all the movies I said I’ll write reviews for. Don’t worry, they’re coming in the (near or not so near) future.

For next week, we get to see the first three movie battle occur in the ‘I See Movie’ of the Week poll. So prepare to see a show (that I haven’t seen) return but in the form of a movie with ‘Entourage’ go up against the third installment in a great horror franchise in ‘Insidious: Chapter 3’. Not done yet. Watch both of those movies go up against what looks like a return to good movies for Melissa McCarthy (after the terrible ‘Tammy’ garbage we got last year) in ‘Spy’.

      1. I guess some could have fun with it but to me it wasn’t new enough or had a big enough cast to be take your brain off kind of fun. It’s just bad. You can see I reviewed it if you want.

      2. I’ve been trying to go out of my comfort zone lately so I’m glad I saw it too and I can see why it might be a guilty pleasure for some.

      3. Well that’s good. Always nice to try to see different type of movies cuz you never know, you might like the way someone does something you’re not usually a fan of.

      4. Totally. I saw Ex-Machina, Mad Max and Furious 7 and liked those which were out of my normal viewing habits so its good.

      5. What kind of disaster movies do you like? I’m more of a Deep Impact fan over Armageddon

      6. I don’t really have a preference when it comes to those for some reason. I just either like one or I don’t. I like some of the “good” ones and I like some of the “bad” ones. For example, I didn’t love Into the Storm last year but I thought it was cool. I didn’t hate it like a lot of people did.
